Maton's Tommy Emmanuel models feature a Mother of Pearl block inlay on the 12th Fret, engraved with 'C.G.P.' The acronym stands for 'Certified Guitar Player,' a title bestowed on Tommy by Chet Atkins and held by only 3 other guitarists in the world - John Knowles, Jerry Reed and Steve Warriner.

I have a Maton CW/80/6 Serial No.1161 Brought by my brother Graham in 1974, I received this after my brother had died 1976 and have treasured this guitar since, it is a great guitar, excellent tone, great fingering and never loses tune. This Maton EST65C ' DELUXE ROCK MAPLE STAGE ' acoustic guitar was purchased new in 2008 and has NEVER been taken out of its case let alone been played. It was described by Maton as a ' slimline solid acoustic cutaway guitar with an AP5 PRO pickup'. This is a very rare guitar as Maton no longer make this model, the closest current model being the 'Performer model 2018'.
